IHS Research Awards 2019 - Call for Proposals

IHS is accepting research applications for scientific projects (any kind of research acceptable) that further the mission and goals of the Society

Funding up to € 150,000 will be allocated to support between one and three research projects

Preference will be given to projects that involve collaborations amongst investigators from multiple institutions and countries

• Applicants must be members of IHS
• Research project must be completed within 24 months

The applications will be reviewed by a committee elected by the IHS Board. After acceptance, applicants will be asked for a more detailed research plan

IHS Visiting Professors

The aim of the Visiting Professor initiative is to send headache specialists as representatives of IHS to attend regional meetings, or teach at a headache centre, in countries that might need or want increased headache education and motivation and where, without financial support, attendance of an international specialist would not be possible

IHS will fund two headache specialists to teach at a national or regional meeting/congress. The host country can select topics and suggest at least three specialists who will fit in with their programme. The engagement should comprise at least two lectures and one course/workshop by each specialist. The final decision on the choice of specialists will be made by  the IHS Education Committee

Funding up to US$ 5,000 will be allocated per meeting

Non-IHS Awards

The Migraine Research Foundation (MRF) and the Association of Migraine Disorders (AMD) announce the opening of a joint Request for Proposals for migraine research grants. MRF is committed to discovering the causes of migraine disease and improving its treatments, and AMD has a particular interest in better understanding migraine variants. We are looking for projects that will help sufferers by advancing our ability to understand and treat migraine. As a result, we provide seed money grants for basic and clinical projects that will lead to better treatment and quality of life for sufferers of migraine disorders.
