Elections for the IHS Board of Trustees will be held prior to the IHC in Vancouver, Canada, in September 2017.
The call for nominations has now been sent by email to all members.
There are three vacant positions.
The nominee must be a Standard Member when nominated. Nominations should be proposed by a Standard Member and seconded by a different Standard Member, and supported by a personal written statement by the nominee including a written indication of intention to stand for election as a Trustee.

Rigmor Jensen and Anand Diwan attended the Pre-congress event of the 10th Annual Congress of the Association of Sri Lankan Neurologists in November, and Tissa Wijeratne attended the Society of Neurologists of Bangladesh International Neurology Seminar in December.

The IHS fellowship award aims to support innovative and impactful research from young investigators, promote the career of young investigators in the field of headache, and increase the knowledge base of headache disorders. Migraine Research Foundation invites Letters of Interest for 2017 Impact Award12/01/2017
The Migraine Research Foundation, a US nonprofit that raises money to fund innovative migraine research, invites both US and international researchers to submit a Letter of Interest (LOI) for projects that will add to the understanding or improve the treatment of NDPH. Selected projects will be invited to submit an application late this spring.

Danish Headache Center will open a new purpose-built centre in 201712/12/2016
Denmark is to have a new headache centre. Staff and patients have been involved in the interior design, ensuring that the centre will be adapted to the special requirements of headache patients. In international terms this means that the new centre is one of a kind.
‘The Danish Headache Centre is to be built at Rigshospitalet, Glostrup, with completion scheduled for autumn 2017.

IHS has a Board of Directors, who are also the Trustees of the Charity, which takes responsibility for, and manages the day-to-day running of, the Society and all its activities and funds. The Trustees comprise the President, the President-Elect, the Past-President, up to six Elected Trustees, who must be Ordinary Members of the Charity, and up to three Appointed Trustees, who need not be Ordinary Members of the Charity. There are nine Standing Committees, ten Special Interest Groups and ad-hoc Task Forces, all with a specific remit. An Advisory Council meets once a year and is comprised of the Standing Committee and Special Interest Group Chairmen and the elected representatives of Affiliate Member Societies.
The Society has around 1,300 ordinary fee-paying members, including Affiliate Member Societies. From time to time members elect Honorary Life Members, and by 2014, 26 had been elected. Associate Membership, enabling online access to Cephalalgia, is available without payment of a fee to those who qualify for membership of the Society and are residents of countries on WHO's list of 100 developing countries.
